However, simply enlarging a worn or damaged bore to accept a larger pin is not always an effective or long-term solution. Line boring is essential when bores must be restored to their original centerlines and specifications. Proper alignment ensures that loads are distributed correctly, moving parts operate smoothly, and the equipment functions as originally engineered. Without restoring true centerlines, even newly installed components may wear unevenly, bind, or compromise the machine’s overall performance.

Once repairs are completed, our portable line boring equipment is deployed on-site to restore the bore to its original centerline and tolerances.
